Forty years ago, Professor William Tiller began researching a way to harness thought and intention to serve as a catalyst for changes in the physical world.
Bill was certainly familiar with the studies on the effectiveness of prayer from afar. At the same time, as Chairman of the Stanford University Materials Science Department, he was also well familiar with how the energetic “pumping” of a laser enables the production of coherent light. Dr. Tiller went on to develop a crystalline-based silicon device which captures and stores an intention imbued into the device by a group of focused meditators and automatically broadcasts it thousands of times a day to achieve a designated effect in people or objects.
Using this device, early research demonstrated the ability to increase or lower the pH of a solution by 1 point, the growing of larvae at a 30% increased rate, and the killing of bacteria at a 30% increased rate. The team later realized that this device could focus and broadcast intention to anywhere in the world with a simple set of coordinates like name and address.
Over the past few years, the Merraki Institute has brought this research work into practical applications.
